Mombasa
county governor Hassan Ali Joho led various leaders from the area
including Mps and Mcas on a four day development tour of Kisauni
constituency a few days after a similar operation in Jomvu and Changamwe
constituencies.
Speaking after commissioning of 2 solar powered boreholes in Mjambere and
Magogoni wards which are expected to serve over 5000 people, Joho
said the effort was aimed at combining the County’s development agenda
with the development plans of various constituencies to improve the
living condition Mombasa residents.
“Team work is paramount. I am glad that all levels of leadership in Mombasa County are working together as one compact unit. This is the seed that we planted almost a year ago and now the fruits are clearly visible for our people to benefit from", he said.
The
governor also added that the move played a significant role in
eliminating duplications and ensuring standardization in all development
projects throughout the County.
Amongst
area leaders who accompanied the Governor, included Senator Hassan
Omar, area Kisauni Mp, Rashid Bedzimba, Jomvu Mp, Badi Twalib.
The team
also commissioned the Msikitini Cabro road of 350 meters at the cost of about
Kshs 4.5M.
The governor praised Kisauni Mp Bedzimba for for exhibiting efficiency and
transparency in the execution of the project.
Joho is expected to lead the commissioning of more projects in Mwakirunge ward on Friday and Junda ward
on Saturday.
